It's not because I don't want to though--it's just not used in Texas. You linked to my blog post about whuffie. I have to say, I don't believe in whuffie. You shouldn't do something for social capital. You should do it because it is the right thing to do. You should do it because you have compassion in your heart and you feel compelled to make a difference. If you do things because you are trying to build some sort of credibility, the focus becomes yourself, instead of society as a whole. I was not raised to think this way. I hope that's what you said.
